GARMIN Mobile™ 10 軟體更新版本 5.00.30w( 僅適用於WM)
Download here: http://www.garmin.com.tw/products/Garmi ... nload.html
GMXT Taiwan version was using the font within GMXT. It support Tradintional Chinese, Simplified Chines, English and Thai. More important is that it solves the location error for China official map during navigation in China with the latest V7.01 QSI version China map.
For Chinese you need Chinese.ttf and for Thai you need Thai.ttf and must be located in SD card\Garmin\font folder. Text input was using the WM PDA system input to enter text for searching POIs etc..
When you facing "Please re-insert SD Card" nagging, then you move this gmsup from SD card\Garmin\Apps folder into Device\Garmin folder. On my Samsung i900, I moved sw.unl and gmsup into device\Garmin folder and it worked excellence for me.
GMSUP FOR Traditional Chinese
[COMMON]
LOCAL_VER=TAIWAN
GMSUP FOR Simplified Chinese, this also corrected the locational error in China official maps.
[COMMON]
LOCAL_VER=CHINA
GMSUP FOR Thai ( I had uploaded the Thai.ttf and gmsup for Thai on the post on 3 Apr 2009)
[COMMON]
LOCAL_VER=THAI
Used notepad to edit and saved as GMSUP without the txt file extension, else it will "Please re-insert SD card"
The detail installation was in my Post on 1 Feb 2005, Page 5.
I tested on my Samsung i900 Singapore set and Dopod 818pro for all versions, there all worked well. For Thai you need the two additional software:
1) PDAMobizThaiEnabled_v2.1.WM5.sa.cab
2) rasco Thai RKeyboard_p.ARM.CAB
Which can be downloaded from here:
http://res0.esnips.com/doc/e0408c34-547 ... hai-Enable.
With the Thai enable installed, you can surf the Thai web page and enter used Thai as input without any problem. In my Samung Omnia and Dopod 818 Pro installed Thai had no prpblem. I assumed other WM PDA should have no problem lah.
You can have other country voice as well. For eg I need Thai voice. Just to do a little twick: Renamed English_American_.vpm > ori_English_American_.vpm for backup. To used Thai voice then renamed Thai__.vpm > English_American_.vpm. To used Cantonese voice, renamed Canton__.vpm > English_American_.vpm. now when you selected English America in Tools > Setting > Audio > Voice: Amercan English then you have Thai voice or Cantonese voice. This version only one American English selection.
Chnese.ttf in the attached, Also this file was available in GMXT S60 version.
I myself was using DFU_HMD.TTF renamed to Chinese.ttf, which can support more language in GMXT. I just attached it on my post on 23 Mar 2009 in this topic.
Up to you to choose Chinese.ttf or DFU_HMD.TTF.
Refer to the pictures attached.
