Nokia Sports Tracker

Hi All,

Recently I am struggling looking for cheap solution for 1 second tracklog. I came to know that the Nokia Sports Tracker(http://sportstracker.nokia.com/nts/main/index.do) is a program for Nokia phone with S60 V3 and above. Together with BT GPSr, it can give accurate 1 second tracklog required by mapper. The tacklog can be export to Google earth. It can also be export as GPX, XML or CSV.
We can use GPSBABELGUI to convert the tracklog to .gdb format for MFM tracklog contribution.

If it is okay, I intend to purchase a BT GPSr + my old Nokia N73ME to manage 1 second tracklog contribution.

Is there anyone using the above combination before?
Appreciate results, comments, advises and opinions.

:tq:

Yes, I using it to track seremban. U just need export to gpx, we can use gpx files.

There is a major bug in Nokia Sport Tracker. when press start, it will jump out from start menu and not tracking, double check when u tracking.

BTW install it in SD card then U phone system memory will not effect.

If you intend to buy a BT GPSr that cost say RM300, you might want to look for a BT/DataLogger GPSr that should be at the similar price. The added function is memory in the GPSr to internally log tracks (without requiring a PDA or phone).

That's even better solution. Thanks for the advice. I will explore this option further.

Hi you can use this free tracking software call racechrono. IMO it is better than sportstracker in terms of track log quality

Yes racechrono is free. If you just want to capture 1 sec tracks and let other software handle the analysis, this is the program for you.
