My ASEAN Free GPS Map Project

On 20-6-09, I started hard to get my gps navigation. It take some time to find setellite signal if compare as usual. Then, it start harder to get until from 23-6-09 till now, I cant use my garmin mobile xt, it keep showing "Awaiting Better GPS Accuracy". And i check for the setellite signal and it only get one full bar. Does anybody face this problem during this days? Im wonder izzit is the setellite problem or my nokia n85 garmin mobile xt problem?

I am using GMXT in my Samsung Omnia, no problem with the signal strength.
How long did you wait before you turn off the GMXT?
Did you update your aGPS data?

I wait for around 15 minutes. normally it only take 5 second to get into gps navigation. did u using ur garmin mobile today? I try whole day but cant.

May i know How to update the gps data?

Yes, I can log on to the GPS location pretty fast today. About 30 sec.

As for the aGPS software, normally it is pre-installed in your phone. In my Omnia, the utility is called "Enhanced GPS". Normally after you turn it on, the software will login to GPRS/3G network automatically to download the GPS almanac data. Without the updated GPS almanac data, my Omnia sometime will search for >10min before log on to GPS location. After update, 99% of the time will log on in less than 1 min.

May i know where is ur location? Coz my location is at one utama and subang jaya. But if i go to kepong, it is no problem. Anyway, thanks for ur share and help bro.

I have the same problem as u too... these few days.. im using N79

Tried enabling the AGPS in your phone like here,
AGPS helps in getting a 'lock on' faster.

My Nokia E66 is
