There's only 1 way to get around this problem

Copy the MFM to Nuvi and the SLA-MFM to the SD card. You will have the latest MFM map then.

chaicka wrote:Same here. 205W/255W, can't get MFM v1.67 to work with SLA-MFM v1.65.

Tried the following methods:
1. MFM v1.67 as gmapsupp.img on SD card, SLA-MFM v1.65 as gmapsupp.img on 205W.
2. MFM v1.67 as gmapsup2.img on 205W, SLA-MFM v1.65 as gmapsupp.img on 205W.
3. MFM v1.67 as gmapsupp.img on 205W, SLA-MFM v1.65 as gmapsupp.img on SD card.

That's what chaicka has done. #-o

What is the relationship of this map (Eastgear/MFM/SLA) with SLA Garmin map sold by Coolasia for $30?

The third combination works in my Nuvi710.

The third combination works on my Nuvi 610 too.

The offer to MFM community members have closed since end of June. Thus, no further offer available at this point of time.

does anyone uses this MFM-SLA map in Singapore? Do you notice anything amiss? I tried using it and notice the navigation instruction is a bit haywire, e.g. instead of the normal turn at xx road in 50 meter... it will tell you turn at xx road in 18 KM (practically only instruct you to turn the last corner) but the map drawing is fine

i've since reverted to use MFM map, which is working fine...

using 765T (Taiwan)

I am using 1.65 MFM-SLA map in my Nuvi 765 ( Taiwan ). No problems with routing.
Also have 1.68MFM and Garmin NT4.03 loaded.

I suspect you're using the one with MFMv1.64. MFM1.64 has a problem - all the expressway names were inadvertently left out. The routing probably took you to an expressway then turn off, but the directions you got would have skipped directions to turn into the expressway and have gone ahead to give you directions to turn off the expressway 18 km later.

Try dropping back to the SLA-MFM combination which uses MFMv1.63.

For those who qualified, will there be any updates? The old link provided via pm from bro eastgear no longer work even if I were to change the filename.

Bro I got the free one which is SLA+MFM 1.63. Want to know how to get I newer version of it when it's out since I'm not east gear customer.
