Re: SLA-Garmin map
Does this mean GMPC and GMXT users are left out?
Garmin Eastgear-malfree-SLA maps
Hi,
Just an enquiry abt the SLA-malfree-Garmin maps
http://www.eastgear.com/garmin/index.ph ... &Itemid=46
Is this map only for people with Garmin units bought from Eastgear? Or can all members use it?
Thanks.

Please don't share the map. If eastgear wants to give it out they should do it.. no one else have the Rights to release the maps... cheers!

It is for all MfM members with Garmin GPS. You must request for the unlock code and download link via MfM forum HERE. Hope this helps... cheers!

Bro Moey, I think Bro Chaicka means sharing the news with the rest of us here.

I don't think so, why don't you PM Eastgear with GMPC/GMXT Software Unit ID. Afterall, the map is offered free to MFM member: viewtopic.php?f=13&t=3448

Re: Garmin Eastgear-malfree-SLA maps
So I guess this map is good enough currently based on MFM Ver 1.63 compared to the original MFM Ver 1.63, right?
Currently Using : Garmin NUVI 3560LM with Live Traffic FM Receiver

Re: Garmin Eastgear-malfree-SLA maps
The offered version is SLA + MfM v1.62. MfM update once a week... don't think eastgear will do it weekly too. Cheers!

Re: Garmin Eastgear-malfree-SLA maps
Interesting pointers raised in here and me being not a hup-sup type and being that eagerly on any offers/opportunity made available, brudder Mooi can be assumed as correct in expecting a slower follow-up by SLA mapping upgrades. Everything takes and requires time to implement.
I hope to have mine included soon too. But I'm now stuck in deciding... to be or NOT to be, to retain and upgrade my Nuvi 650(which is waayyy past the due dates since 2007), or buy a new model like the Nuvifone which I'm still waiting but may be made available by us just prior to my Asian trip in September...haiyaahhh...
By then, this Eastgear dateline of June with my current Garmin IDs will not be applicable with a new ID from a new Garmin unit... unless I carry all three along... Customs in AUS, NZ and Spore will be baffled I'm sure!!!
