Re: SLA-Garmin map

Postby sphinx » Thu Jun 25, 2009 9:53 pm

Was directed by bro dvpro to post my problem here:

Not sure if my problem had been posted. I use SLA-MFM v1.62 on GMXT / WinMo. Use address search, no problem when searching forward thru menu, but I did not press GO. Instead I back out the menu and GMXT crashed. It crashed on the second BACK. This problem is consistent and repeatable. I have only this map in my device, so there shouldn't be any map conflicts.

Any sifu can help?

This method doesn't work if you transferred both files via windows (not mapsource), as the file (same name) in device will overwrite the one in SD card.

Mine still shows 1.62 with no trace of 1.63

Guess the best alternative would be to separate the SLA map from the MFM map, as I believe MFM updates are much faster

Brother, not true as the latest version is SLA + MFM V1.63, the file name also stated sla-mfm1.63.zip.

Not sure if we can use the same unlock codes for SLA-MFM v1.62?

Should be able to, the unlock code is based on your GPS Unit ID and not map. Give it a try!
