upgrading papago microsd card from 2g to 8g/How to unlock?

Postby yapkenny » Sun Jun 05, 2011 3:40 pm

Hi everyone,

Just want to know whether anyone tried upgrading their microsd card from 2g to 8g.
Does anyone know how to unlock the software to transfer to the new card?

Thanks.

Why unlock? The PPG device does not need any unlock nor any SD card to run! :-'

Sorry brother,

My Honda Accord is install with GPS DVD player that comes with papago GPS software that only runs when sd card is slotted in with license in it.
There only comes with 2g. I tried to copy the software to a 8g card but it doesn't work. I suppose the license is lock with the card.
The player itself got no software to run. updating map is not a problem as I already updated the map. The only thing its the software.

Any help would be appreciated.

There could be few reasons why when you copy from 2G to 8G doesn't work.

1. Your player can only support up to 2G only
2. You probably need to boot up with the SD card. for this to work, you need to re-format the card and make it bootable, then copy the contents over. ask uncle google on how to make a sd-card bootable.

I am not well versed with papago but from your description, I think they have locked the software, just like computer os.

Other alternative, maybe can go to M3Asia for help.
