USB cable that can power as well as navigate?

Postby bikermeow » Thu Oct 20, 2011 11:24 pm

Hi,

Please bear with me if the question seems simple. I've got a cigarette lighter socket with a USB end. When I plug in a USB/mini USB wire to power my Zumo220, the GPS unit went into data mode and would not navigate. ](*,)

Is there anything wrong with my cable? Or am I using the wrong type of USB/mini USB and must buy Garmin?

Cheers

Yes, there is a difference. One is type A and the other type B. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/USB if you need more data.
