Actually I meant it's better than it was a few days previously. Maybe it's just my perception.

The picture quality of all channels is worse or back to ori today except the HDs. Astro must be doing something.
The top and bottom parts gone. I hate this zoom version.

Then it's RM20.00 extra per month after 4 months of free usage!!!

Questions welcome.

good for you bro, i've been dithering whether to get it or not, but it may not be worth my while as i don't subscribe HBO.

new wiring? what new wiring? all my wirings are tucked out of sight into the wall - will they have to rip out the old wires and replace with new wires? my tv is HD-ready (sony bravia) - you think it is worth my while to subscribe?

but astro service not that good. i subscribed to metro package twomonths ago and right away i can't get ch 731. complained to astro and they said i have to pay RM50 for their technician to come and check...what a rip-off. if i can't get the transmission from the day i subscribed it must be their end, why make me pay for their inefficiency and lack of quality? this is what that holds me back from paying for HD channels.

yes, the new 1.1s firmware upgrade sucks big time...however, apparantly astro is fixing it as we speak and will release yet another firmware update in 24-48 hours time....so keep your byond boxes in standby mode when not watching...

If you switch to 4:3 when watching the non-HD channels, you can see the top and bottom

yes, but it defeats the purpose of having a large screen tv, doesn't it? I was happy with the previous 'stretch option' as my LG has a automatic just scan feature that adjusts automatically depending on the source and produced a non-stretched picture.
