Hi,

I'm Himi from KL. Got the Nuvi 205 few months ago and still am very much on the learning curve. Intending to explore more possibilities - in terms of having more maps installed in my Nuvi e.g. Australian maps, etc. Was there last month, and rented a car and it was very frustrating that I can't seem to use the Nuvi, only due to not having the ability to download other maps, since no Mapsource can be installed in my office nor my personal lappy. My source was gpsoz. Have yet to be successful to execute Mapsource (no, the 205 did not come with Mapsource CD so I had to download a copy) - every time I want to start the installation, it failed to initiate, with the message "no previous version of Mapsource detected"

So, I 'm quite curious as to how can I start executing one when I have none in the first place?

Am trying to download from your links now, with executing the reg-file and all. We'll see how.

Heard that if I were to go and get the Australian map from Garmin centre where I got the unit from, it'll cost me as much as MYR1k?

Gosh.

The registry edit method should do the trick.

It's only USD149.99, and with current exchange rate, it's less than RM500: https://buy.garmin.com/shop/shop.do?pID ... pvID=37662

what about your brand of your GPS currently? if your GPS is winCE based, then you can buy and install GarminXT or Papago.
