[quote="waypoint"]I'm sure it's been sorted out now?

If you have travelled more than 300-km since the gps was last turned on, it WILL take a little bit more time to get that initial lock. Once it does so, leave it on for at least 20-mins to make sure the almanac from the satellites are downloaded into the unit for the current geographic location; valid for the next 12 to 18-hours or so. After this initial process, getting a lock again should take less than 3-mins even if you are on the move. \:D/

Thanks alot my friend ... I went downstairs to the playground and switch on for 5mins... Voila!... initally I was using MSM map but abit boring, so I switch over to MFM and everything turn out so beautiful... nice work!

Btw, i just bought a 2Gb SD card .. since both my US and Sg maps are in my internal memory, what extra things can I do for my SD card?

ngan57 wrote:Hi everybody, I'm a newbie and plan to drive up to Cameron highland over the weekend. I own Garmin 205 and I have tried to key in the address number of times but it say no match found. Can anyone pls enlighten me the steps by steps entry. The address is Lot 42, Jalan Masjid, 39000 Tanah Rata Cameron Highlands Pahang, Malaysia.

Sorry bro, you can only search the road name only (not full address yet, our map not that avance)

Jalan Masjid is in the map (N4 28.288 E101 22.808). The Nuvi will lead you to Jalan Masjid. Frm there, you need to search the address yourself.

Have teh same problem with ngan57. Now I understand, thanks a million badrol..

Seems like, pressing and holding on the speedometer icon (on the trip details page) for about 10sec will bring up more diagnostics and logs.

It would appear that Nuvis perform storage defrag (automatically) also.

Check at Tools > Settings > Map > Map Info, is Malfreemaps listed here, and is it ticked?
Where is your location? Have you got a GPS fix within the maps boundary?
Have you zoomed in further until the map is viewable?

If you're installing both the contributor's edition of MSM (not MSM NT) and MFM in device, a conflict is bound to happen.

Hii bros,
I'm using the basic Nuvi 250. At one time I installed both Malsing & Malfree. As Usual Malfree on the removable disk & Malsing in the unit's GARMIN Folder.

I ticked/enabled both Maps - While travelling in Malacca ie. from Southern Malacca it was perfectly Good. But when I cross the Malacca Border northwards to N/Sembilan it seems that I was floating on air in blank space.

I manage to solve the problem by creating a New Folder & I named it "hide", in the unit's GARMIN folder. I moved both gmapsupp.img & gmapsupp.unl into this hide folder that I created.

It does solve the problem. And if or when I feel like using Malfree again or compare maps I just moved it back to its original place.

Technically I cannot explain why & how it solve my problem, but it do work.
