Need help on Kenwood DNX7340BT Map

Hello and Greetings everybody........

It's been great to have such a website for all this GPS FAQ and help from you guys !!!

Currently i'm having a Kenwood DNX7340BT in my car which is in Malaysia.

I need help on where and how to update my Malaysia & Singapore maps :(

Here's all the details and info i have for my unit

Brand : Kenwood
Model : DNX7340BT
At the SD Card there's a sticker stated :- (CN SG NT v4.03) (KNA-SD433 SG) (W203-7611-05) (010-10985-12)

Anyone can help me ??? I really need an updates on the Malaysia & Singapore Maps laaaa :(

MFM ada mengeluarkan 4 maps

Bro alharis299 !!! I owe you 10 Teh Tarik !! I managed to upgrade my Kenwood already with your help !!! :thumbsup: eventhough the instructions is a bit complicated :lol:

Errrr i managed to see DUKE Highway already, before this i'm flying in the sky :lol:

BTW, after generating and running the MFM-Garmin-111114.exe i extract it to my SD Card "F:\Garmin" right ?? Then i found that it repalcing my "gmapsupp.img" is that right ?? Just wondering whether i did the right thing...... :-k

But nevertheless i've tested it in my Kenwood and works like a charm !!! \:D/

My question here is, is there any steps that i've missed ?? Currently i only have "gmapsupp.img" & "gmapsupp.unl" in my SD Card...is that a right thing ?? Many Many thanks in advance Bro !!!

Many many thanks Bro :thumbsup: , i've went there and found that i need to Order/Purchase the Map Update CD/DVD from Kenwood Malaysia :thumbsdown:

Now it's all okay and updated , running good.....i hope :lol:

Yes, you should place gmapsupp.img in your SD Card to avoid any problem

But nevertheless i've tested it in my Kenwood and works like a charm !!! \:D/

1) Is it true Papago is better than Garmin in Malaysia, Singapore & Thailand? and is it true that Papago does not have map for Australia, UK, US, New Zealand and etc ? Cause i was thinking to buy a Papago for my overseas holiday trip laa #-o

2) Should i update my Garmin map every month ?? Where to download it ? Is it the same URL that you gave me ?? Especially to get new POI and new Icon (Car, Bike, Train and etc icon). I'm blur a bit, sorry Bro, really 1st time for me using this GPS thing..... :(

Hi all,

I am also having a similar Kenwood unit, 7360BT. My question is, is the latest malfreemap for garmin nt compatible with my Kenwood player? Which nuvi model should I select to download? Or I need to wait little bit longer for the compatible version?
