Do not despise the snake, (for it is ugly) for one day it may become a dragon....

aka western version of the ugly ducking. At the rate MFM is changing... soon.

Yes, you can. But if you wanted MFM as top layer. MFM > gmapsupp.img, MSM > gmapsup2.img.
The layers order in GMXT was 1) gmapsupp.img, 2) gmapsup2.img, 3) gmapprom.img.
gmapsupp.img will be first map. Eg. Marine chart as gmapsupp.img. MSM as gmapsup2.img. When you run GMXT, you will not see the roads and POIs in the map which was overlay by the marine chart. If you renamed it to reverse order then you can see the Land map as well as the sea chart.

I picked MFM for West Malaysia. it is much more prettier than MSM. And the most impoartaint thins is, the latest updates are always FREE, and more frequently updated. But, I stiil need MSM-Borneo if I am travelling to East-Malaysia. I hope MFM can includes Sabah and Sarawak in near future, because Malaysia is not complete without Sabah and Sarawak. Labuan is in v1.40 and it is already a good sign towards to perfection..

Salute to MFM mappers and community.
