hi guys, am new to this forum so pardon me n allow me some time to ...explore around :)

while i'm here just want to get a quick advices..

1) MFM don't produce maps for mapking (R12 version)?
2) which GPS standalone is best for me, if i would like a quick search algorithm, junction view, clear directions/instructions, fast lockdown, frequent map update(at least..every 6 months)...? i don't need big screen but i'd like to see POI around while the gps is directing me to my destination...i was a mapking user up till...now so kinda used to their map-look and functions..anything to recommend?

On a budget, get a localized Nuvi 1350 which has a 4.3" screen ( if stocks available as this is replaced by Nuvi 40). You get all you asked for except MapKing

You are in luck.. we have a weekly map update for Garmin GPS HERE and it's FREE!

The map is not lock and you're free to use it on any Garmin GPS.

Hope this helps... Cheers!

Your PC is not detecting the Nuvi.
Start by changing USB port
Then changing USB cable
If this fails, connect your Nuvi to another computer with cable.
If this works, then problem is with your PC.

Thanks ...
Seems it was plug and detect in the beginning but then detection becomes an intermitten problem, I even bought new data cables but when all failed.....
Google, provided the answers....
Switch on the nuvi, wait till the "searching for satelite" part, then only plug in the USB cord.
Now it works !!!
