gvn 53-cannot detected
hi guys....actually....I have gvn 53....my device cannot pre-boot mode....can u help me for do that....I try anything but cannot....my father get this from Thailand....its only be a mass storage.....when plugin to 2 din player...there's nothing happen....just startup garmin logo....then I check it....found that it cannot detected...when I plug in comp....there u have it....mass storage....then I check again....there's nothing files on it....empty....I download latest fw from garmin site....gupdate.gcd...using garmin cure3....make original firmware....get the rgn file....then try update with update.exe....it cannot detect usb....that's mean.....something wrong.....only mass storage....is there anyway can make it come back to life...I really need ...coz this device is awesome.....can anybody help me....that would be great.....tq

from your description it looks like you got a bricked unit probably due to missing files or wrongly flashed firmware.
