:( sadly my unit a US unit from microcenter
so warranty is totally out of the questions

the wierd thing is MSM have no problem at all

anyhoo... email to garmin for some feedback
hopefully they can clear my mess-up [-o<

I suggest you keep your enquiries to Garmin support to the "pre-installed maps" and not mentioned MFM or other third party maps. From my experience, Garmin will not entertain this.

Hi All,, Im new to this,,

was just wondering,,will there be a waranty void on any of the garmin device if there's malfucion after downloading these free maps???

I always have my maps stored in SD cards on all my PNDs. This is to avoid running 'corrupted' maps stored in the main memory, which will cause the PND to go into an endless booting loop. If you stored your map on the SD card, you could easily remove it and reinstall a clean map (again), or re-format it if you wish.

any reset, recopy, yield the same
the POI and navigation works
but when change to MSM and the ori US map shows yellow road and grey lorong etc..

how to fix this, seniors?

not sure if you guys remember me
the problem above seem solved with an update from Garmin themselves
now it is back to multi color glory
seems like a bug with the previous software version :peace:
