thanks silverbeauty,

but seems like both the link are exactly the same. Anyway, this is the version that I downloaded and copy to /Garmin folder in the micro-SD card.

one thing I noticed is, there are logs of other file in the /malfreemaps folder after generated the MFM Garmin maps, shd I copy all to the micro-SD car /Garmin folder? becoz I only copy 1 file which is the gmapsupp.img ?

thank you very much

I have a garmin 1350. After experimenting a few times, this was what worked for me:

For garmin 1350, you have to create a "Map" folder in the root directory. You also have to rename the file from gmapsupp.img to other names such as mfm.img

If I kept it as gmapsupp.img, the file will not be recognised by the GPS.

Hope this is useful for those struggling with garmin 1350

Thanks, it (keeping it as gmapsupp.img) worked for me. Can I presumed the maps in .system is not working in that case? I do not see list them in the map info.

Hi All Sifu,

First of all, thanks for the great advise in this website,
This forum really enhance my knowledge on GPS mapping system

I got some open question, hope sifu able answer on behalf or refer to related link:-
1) Please do not reference illegally-obtained maps/software. Read Forum Rule #6 above.
Somehow, files is in gmapsupp WinZip File (.img).
Pls advice, how to view at Mapsource. Can I combine it to my malfreemaps 131021 ? or view it with mapsource?

2) How to update POI for Bangkok-city, I got malfreemaps 131021 in my SD-card ?
3) Where can I get updated MFM-POI for Bangkok ?

GPX folder - stores your trip log. You can open the GPX files within this folder with Mapsource

i was trying to do housekeeping for my 255w

inside GPX folder there's an Archive folder, inside theres a file of 391mb which i can't open with mapsource, can i just delete it?
