There won't be any problem while you are driving, as the air in the car, even without air-con, is not going to be above 35C

I would not leave a device in the sun in a parked car as Garmin only rate their Nuvis to 60C. Inside a car can get a lot hotter than that and it may eventually spoil the lithium battery and LCD

Thieves are another problem
