As long as you are using NT maps with MFM maps for the same area, this problem will happen.

So have to disable either one

Let me try to do a screen capture and post it.

Any changes to your settings?

I'm using MFM maps with City Navigator and it doesn't show as well. But the reverse is true when I used the latter with MSM map.....

Is it due to map settings or individual settings on the GPS?

I think I found the root cause.

Once I have MFM v1.60 + MFM POI v1.60 + MSM NT 2009.3B enabled and Map Detail set to 'More', the arrow direction and distance to next turn will not show. However, once I disable the MSM NT 2009.3B, it would work just fine most of the time.

As much as I support MFM, SG still lacks behind compared to MSM thus I need both to work concurrently, else it's very disruptive to keep toggling between enabling MFM or MSM NT maps.

Mine 255W also don't show XXX meters turn ahead... but may I know why do we need so many maps like MFMv1.60 , MFM POI v1.60 MSM NT 2009.3B, SLA maps and city navi NT v4.02 ? Sorry to ask this question.. but I'm quite a newbie to GPS stuff.. anyone can enlight me?

If it doesn't show, it just means that u have multiple maps enabled for the same area and NT maps will have a bigger priority.

Eg, if using MFM maps, disable MSM and City Navigator maps. Else vice versa.

MFM - Maps from here
MSM - Maps from another forum
City Navi - Maps from another company used by Garmin, besides MSM

As I have posted, disable all other maps and just leave MFM map checked. That way, it will work fine. As long as there is other maps (even though dun take precedence), it won't work.
