One of the lacking point(coverage) on postal code searching is on commercial building.

Found some interesting website that help to reverse tracing postal code.

Despite this is not a fast way to get postal code for a building but will help to speed up postal code updating.

Searching by Postal code is way to go..as Garmin Keyboard layout is not Qwerty layout,typing name is tough but typing postal code is fast.,this is only practical if you have business card that list address with postal code.

Let me know ,how should i contribute..i dont know much, but doing manual way of copy and paste to trace commercial building is possible.

Singapore is the only country so far in the whole wide world where postal code can uniquely identify a building.

Thus GPS usually cannot search an address by postal code, cos it is useless. It will just tell you the 'city' or 'area' that the postal code represents. Postal code is used in conjunction with other info to narrow down the search only.

The only way is to create a POI for each postal code, thus each building will have multiple pois representing it. There are already such POIs in our map when we created the POIs with full address in them.

You can search them by regular search, just putting in the postal code instead of the name.
