Hi

The routing coming from AYE towards CTE to Riverside Point is very strange.

The route asks to exit Tiong Bahru Rd and re-enter CTE, which doesn't make sense. It should just go straight.

See the route in attached MapSource screen capture. The exit & re-enter is pointed by the red arrow.

I believe you had set to shortest distance, it didn't route back to CTE but route thru Chin Swee Road. You may try set to faster time. - OngCC

Hi OngCC

Sorry I missed out your comment in green. I was wondering how come no response at all.

I've double check and my setting is fastest time. When using the latest 091109 map, still the same route.

Is there other settings that I need to set?

Thanks.

I had been travelling on this route numerous times and so far so good. I suspect you "EXIT LEFT" too early, i.e. instead of keep right on the flyover you keep left prior to the flyover near the pet shop at the Tiong Bahru corner.

Hi SOSweet

May be you are right. I normally stay on the left lane on the CTE before passing the Tiong Bahru Rd exit.

I'll try to keep to the right lane on the CTE tomorrow and see if it makes any different.

Edit:

Just reached home and tried the GPS again with "Faster Time" setting. The planned route is still asking to exit Tiong Bahru and go via Chin Swee Road to Riverside Point.

Tried using MapSource again on 091109 map, same result.

Not sure if you will also have the same suggested route. Origin can be anywhere before the CTE Tiong Bahru exit and destination is Riverside Point.

Since already traveling on CTE, would expect the route to continue on CTE and exit on Clamenceau Road / Merchant Road. Unless of course it's faster to travel on Chin Swee Road, which I assume is not the case.

My normal route will be from Bt Batok to Clementi Ave 6, then AYE all the way to CTE tunnel exit to Merchant Rd to Upper Pickering St. So far did't encounter any problem.

I simulated this route from AYE to Riverside Point on my Nuvi and there was no problem. I suspect you may have another map that is interfering with this routing. What device are you using and what maps are installed? I have encountered such problems before on some other maps.
