i m wondering, all this is the Maction who create the cause, but it make the community especially the mappers not united.....

To me, it is unfair for Papago user didnt get the maps update. I suggest y not create a poll to get user opinion? to continue or discontinue of the release of papago map?

Only MFM contributors got the right to say fair or not/continue giving map update or not. Me myself is not a contributor but merely a user do not have the right to comment at all. i do think there are a lot of people like me... merely a user without contributing too... finally i could only respect MFM contributors decision. nothing more nothing less :-' of cause i prefer to see continue support thou [-o<

edit: looking forward to contribute in the future :D

In all fairness, I grow from a simple end-user who used MFM map, to a polygon mapper, then to a contributor (provided & funded MFM SG mirror) and it is the trust I have in the mgmt team of MFM, the trust that the moto of MFM will stay intact, even if it means some unwelcomed decisions.

It's never easy to make these decisions, and I am very sure the general community understands it. But, if it allows MFM to go further on the long run, the mgmt team has my full support.

Pardon me as I have not been following the full development of the case of papago map being reverse-engineered by commercial entity for profiteering. I deem it as a violation of the intellectual property of MFM. To prevent the worst thing (mappers and contributors cease contributing) to happen for the community, difficult decisions have to be made.

Thus, let's have faith that the issue will be resolve and that the general audience will be able to benefit from all our efforts again.

This is a sad day indeed. I don't think bros Ant and Edchuang retired... they're taking a short leave. In the mean time, we'll still stick together, and continue to do what we do best.
