I'm newbie here. So my point of view may not be entirely right. The thing is.. isn't MFM supposed to be free? So long universities, police, army or any other organizations are using it for non-profit & community benefit, they are not violating any MFM's Terms and Conditions? Am I right saying so?

If would be better if they acknowledge & give credit to MFM. But that would be a separate matter...

come to think about it.. army other than Angkatan Tentera Malaysia wouldn't provide any "public benefit" with Malaysian part of the Map. So.. yea... they would violate the MFM's T&C! The same goes with Singapore Army on Singapore part of the map.

Per my understanding the right to use MFM map is only granted to users who load it into their GPS. Any form of usage of data and modifications need permission from the Administration Of MFM. So, Free doesn't means anyone has the right to use it for whatever reason.... Just my 2 cents...
