Re: MFM support for iGO 8
Heck, I think I need to put on hold my intention to buy new GPS until all new map formats are out. With limited budget, need to make sure "tak menyesal kemudian".

Re: MFM support for iGO 8
At this moment, the arrangement with iGo can be considered a one-compile deal. They are not willing to release their mapping tools to us.
From my recent experience converting our data to Papago format, we have to go through a lot of trials and errors before gaining more understanding of a particular navigation engine. It is through this understanding that we can make best us of our map data. A one-compile arrangement is doomed to failure. I have already warned the parties involved but iGo is not willing to budge.
Despite the uncertain potential, our mappers had given me the go ahead. There is always a small possibility that iGo will acknowledge our map quality in the future and become more willing to work with us (like Papago). Also, as you guys know, our map data is duplicated at each release by Masmap which then "contributes" it to MSM. If I decline this offer, M3GPS will talk to MSM. Why let copycats use our hard-earned data for the dubious recognition?
