If the specific compiler was needed, what is the way or the cost of the compiler and is it worth or enough to use the contribution fund to purchase the compiler?

In future, MFM might play a role like Yellowpages, for example, a special page or site that might allow people to upload all the business and non business POI, coordinate, address, contact, etc etc etc and people might come to search for it. In final word, just like a Yellowpages, but with coordinate or some photo too.

Can we have a clearer City Marker in our map?

Postby liewss80 » Sun Jan 04, 2009 10:54 pm

I notice that MFM map doesnt has any clear marking/indication for each cities. I thk its useful for a quickchk to find out distance between cities, chk out places, etc. Chk out the comparison here:

Would like to suggest what I have suggested here on another thread:

viewtopic.php?p=14033#p14033

To start including the Singapore maptile into the next version of MFM mapset, no matter how sparse/incomplete the map is. The incompleteness will entice and encourage all SG users to start contributing tracks and POIs again.

Thanks.

Oh, they're not building it from scratch?

From what I understand, the earlier MFM SG mapset is being drawn based on Jerome/MSM's map. That was the reason why the polylines have exactly similar coordinates with MSM map, including the traps.

Would it be better to create a "plain" Singapore maptiles and let us (the contributors) to help in building the map from scratch?

Thanks.

Great ideas, i personally like the idea of bus route, but... will it be too many lines eventually and gets into confusing, if we can clear this up, it will be very useful...
