I have installed phpBB2 Forum script for about 10 of my customers. To prevent registration of account by robots, I have installed a mod that asks users a few questions to make sure that they are real human. I hired a programmer to write me this mod as there was no such mod in the phpBB2 library.

I don't know what type of spam you are referring to. If it can be stopped by preventing robot signup, do contact me so that I may help.

It look like we are always on the defend side, i.e. we found one spammer, we remove (delect) it, and the circle go round and round. It is a waste of time and resources, :fire: :frus:
Why can't we adapt the ''recommendation'' type of enrolling membership ? i.e., someone had to recommend you to be member or registered with a H/P number for verification purpose.
We can't let ppl take us for a ride. [-X

''recommendation'' type membership is too restrictive for a public forum. I believe we currently have enough resources to deal with spammers :)
