2) How we set bus route? every route have code, eg U80 for Shah Alam-KL and T68 for Shah Alam-Kelang...
its useful for foreigner and handheld GPS owner for 1st time use bus in KL and Selangor, each bus have code only...
Great ideas, i personally like the idea of bus route, but... will it be too many lines eventually and gets into confusing, if we can clear this up, it will be very useful...

nope, i think we can use at main city like KL shah alam jaybee Penang only
PLEASE CONTRIBUTE AAAA, WE ALL HAVE FREE MAP NOW!!!!! ITS EASY ONLY,

A small suggestion which I feel can improve the mapping community.

To add another thread in each individual Map Feedback boards to include "Area Request" thread which they found to be unmapped/incomplete.

I know that there's feedback thread in the individual board, but by creating another "Area Request" thread, mappers can check their own area more easily and map the area.
This can prove to be more easier for junior mappers to contribute as they usually blur on where they can map to further contribute.

In my case, when I went to Kuantan to visit relative, I saw the area for Taman Tanah Putih Baru was not mapped and I don't have the time to map it (as I'm there only for a brief time), but a junior mapper in Kuantan who didn't know where else to map are able to map the area during his/her free time.

Another example, I live in Kajang but it's not my hometown. I wouldn't know if there's any missing area just by looking into the Mapsource.
But if there's someone request an area in Kajang, I'd be able to find the area and map it as per requested.

I do believe it'll be more easier for us (junior mappers) to contribute to a further complete map.

1 & 2) If he know the area well, from the mapsource he should know where to track the missing area.
For this... best person to ask will be our track King.. Bro Tuah.
As for me... when ever I see road but no track in my GPS latest map.. I will track the area.. if time premitted.

I think this might be some good idea too... since it can "enlighten" the local tracker where to track...

Thanks keong8260 for the agreeing with me.

Salam 73 bro alyem,
You're method is the best practice method.
But sadly if you're out of your area of expertise (let's say Gua Musang), you went there and see some tracks incomplete.
Do you come back there if time permits and do the tracking?
Or do you just leave it be without notifying anyone about the gaps in the maps?
Rather than just badgering bro Tuah on the gaps, might as well we post it in public and someone can pick it up.

I for one would be delighted to track any gaps in Kajang area by request, unless I drive around Kajang aimlessly through all the small streets and anywhere that my car can reach using the latest MFM map. I feared it may be a a waste of valueble resources.

I can see an example here:

Thanks for listening! :peace:

Yes I agree with you on that.. I did just take on Kelantan area. I posted on the Kelantan Feedback for some help on the local guys.
And I did some traking and naming the road. Which most of the road in Kelantan are without names.

From the GPS screen there in not much area we can see.. the only way is when we pass tro the empty area with no tracking done.
I will stop and track the area like what I did for Karak during CNY.

Anyway.. we can try to do that... :tq:

I agree.Probably just give the coordinate ahttp://malfreemaps.com/posting.php?mod ... &p=25462nd let local mapper drive there. But need to be strict.don't later reach there realize the coordinate cannot sampai.

on another suggestion, can we do a custom voice file(VPM) for MFM?anyone with pretty voice?
while at it,probably add extra voice file for speed trap and other custom POI.Like when approaching a speed trap with 90km/h,instead of beep beep beep beep, why not change the sound to "speed trap,90 kilometer per hour","speed trap,110 kilometer per hour","Red light traffic cam ahead","School zone ahead","Sharp bend ahead"

Quite difficult to find voice actresses who can do a better job than Garmin or Sexy Babe. The only other voice I am interested in is Pua Chu Kang's :D

Perhaps somebody at Singapore who know him can introduce him to MFM and be special "voice" guess...
