Falim, Wah Lam See, Menglembu, Silibin, Jalan Tokong (opposite 9 Emperor Temple), Ipoh Garden East, Canning Garden Jalan Cecil Rae & Jalan Perak & Kampar Road, St. Micheal Institution. Those are the places I have once stayed and studied.
Maybe I will be visiting this places to refresh my memories if I am able to join you guys for the GG. Not been back to Ipoh for quite sometime.
Anyway, is Ipoh Old Town food still as good. Missed the rojak, Ipoh Kuei Teow and satay there. Or is there others better?

Look like we are going to have a big crowd for this coming GG, our original venue Kopitiam Junction (Ipoh Parade GF Main entrance) may not be suitable for us anymore, Kopitiam Junction is normally very crowded during weekends and it will be especially crowded on 30th August because of long weekend, if that is so, it may not be convenient for all of us to be seated together. We may have to consider other venue.
This afternoon I went to survey The Upper Dome Café above the Majestic Station Hotel Ipoh, talked to the person in charge, found out that there is no other organized activity on 30th August yet, so there is no problem for us if we hold our GG there.
The Upper Dome Café is normally very quiet and it would be spacious enough for all of us. This place is very cozy and the style is colonial. The person in charge told me that we can choose between 3 high tea packages, that is RM10, RM15 or RM18 per person. The RM10 package include Bee Hoon Goreng, Rozak, Fried Chicken wings and varieties of Kuih, of course tea and coffee is also provided,we can also customize a bit on the menu, please give suggestion. If there is a decision on this venue I will find out more about the menu for RM15 and RM18 package.
Please see pictures of Majestic Station Hotel Ipoh
