Today is our first anniversary!

Mapping is a tedious and time-consuming work. MFM is an amateur mapping community. We do not have special software that can convert raw GPS data to maps. Everything is done by hand. Each of our more than 100,000 roads are drawn one by one. Each of our more than 100,000 POIs are plotted one after another. Our senior mappers spent many hours to convert your tracks to map and fix errors. Their effort is equivalent to the person who collected the tracks. But while they are many tracks and POIs contributors, there are only one mapper for a particular region. So the mapper is the key person in our mapping process. No mapper, no map updates.
Senior mappers like OngCC and Sunn had helped improved our map weekly for several years. Their ability to maintain their enthusiasm and dedication is admiring. They had each drawn more than 30,000 lines plus many more POIs and polygons. In addition to mapping, our senior and regional mappers also help improve other aspects of our community. Some write guides for newbies. Some draw junction view pictures. Some teach and give talks. Working with these special guys gave me extra drive and motivation to do my own part. Also, having been relieved of mapping duty (thanks Sunn), I have more time to explore new features and maps for the benefit of everyone. I really enjoy the teamwork

So to bros OngCC, Sunn, Fancheng, Robo, Gerkeng, Pauchai, Tympg, Edchuang, Alyem, Johntan, Pgkent and Shideen, BRAVO!

Soon, we will welcome a new batch of mappers for Thailand. Looking forward to work with these "young guns"
