Proposed GPS Clinic at Kulai

I have today issued instructions to my staff to start planning for the Auto & Accessories Fair for November 2010. Last time we did this was together with JB Talk - a popular forum for youngsters in JB. The event was held over 2 days and had very good response. We had a few competitions and demo (like car drift, dragon fire, dancing car) and also car exhibition.shawchyn wrote:aikliang wrote:Hi guys, great to have met up with bro robo, ronchan, fauzee, simseair, yaulim, william and william's friend Chris during this GG. I will up-load the pictures I took later.
One of the things which I discussed with bro robo was to have a GPS clinic in-conjunction with Auto & Accessories fair to be held at the shopping mall I am managing (earlier was supposed to be handphone & broadband but this is much more appropriate). Timing is sometime in November 2010, I will confirm the date later.
Basically, the clinic would be to educate the public on how to use GPS devices either Garmin or Papago or any official brands like up-dating maps, using search functions, etc. NO China brand will be entertain, only official. Also to have talks on how to do tracking and contributing way-points to MFM (of course). Mapping and polygon clinics (if got demand) will be held at private venue for members only.
Once the date is confirmed, I will work with Southern Region bros on this event..
Fix the date and I wil try to catch this event![]()
Maybe can make it sucess like the 1 held in Ipoh recently
This time round, we will be having the same thing and I will be adding in a GPS clinic and introduce mfm to the public. As mentioned, the clinic will be on teaching people how to use the gps properly and also its functions. Also to point them to mfm website for the weekly downloads for map up-dates and how to install the maps into the gps unit. For these, I will need some members to help out at the clinic. Propose that the clinic to be held only for certain time either Sat or Sun or if members can tahan, both days. note that we shall only be helping those with proper gps units like GARMIN, PAPAGO, IGO, etc... No China set... Also maybe show how to do tracking and how to up-load/sent to mfm
I will try to get some gps companies to participate as well so if anyone got contacts with re-sellers like fotokem, aeco, m3asia, please pm me the contacts so that I can make the arrangement.
Any other suggestions will be helpful
