Attach is the trek log to Gunung Bubu in Kuala Kangsa.
remembered my good old days when I trekked up to Gunung Bubu summit. At that time the trek just opened to public. If Im not wrong it was backed in 1991.My second attempt to conquer the summit failed as the trek changed from time to time.No gps..only based on some markers like spray paint on trees and rafia strings to indicate the path.
Hope this trklogs you have can assist the new generations of high altitude trekking teams!Bravo my bro!

thanks.
Based on my personal experienced from the base of the mountain ie the signage "Selamat Datang to Kawasan perkelahan Gunung Bubu Daerah manong,Kuala Kangsar" to the summit took me approximately 2 days up and 1 full day back to base.
Some of the terrain passes through the water..im not so sure whether they still use the red paint marker spray onto the trees and the on the granites.
Leaches are plentiful since then. Most common ones are the rounded yellow strips about an inch long.I was being lazy to remove them..until at one time 1 big lump of them having a fiesta on my right foot. The scar is until today.A souvenier from Mount Bubu.
At the base camp at between 6:30-7:00pm where we heard a lady crying and laughing amongst the trees about 250m away from us approximately and there were 8 pax of us!!My first time encountering that!Ishkk!
However the information im providing is already out of date..look positively maybe new markers are presence, the track is wider and the base of mountain there are people around at the national service camp.

Oh ya the steeppness is progressively only when approaching the summit.Beware of the ravine.
I wish you all the very best and pls do let us know your personal experience there.Especially on the summit and along the trek.Gunung Bubu..One way in and one way out.Just like the name itself

May the force be wit you!!
