Hi

I am sorry if this post is not in the correct place but I am new and not too sure where to post this question. Maybe a moderator could move the post to an appropriate spot.

I have followed the instructions above but when I try to open Mapsource with the new mapset I get an error which does not allow Mapsource to open.

The error message tells me to copy to clipboard and send the detail to Garmin.

The clipboard details is shown below. Is anyone able to guide me as to how to correct this and import my mapset into Mapsource?

Thank you

Tony

Tony, we are not Garmin tech support, it's easier for us to decipher the problem if you let us know which map you were trying to install with ezMS.

Thanks for the reply. I am a real novice at this so if I need to look elsewhere I am happy to do so.

I went to this source link deleted and downloaded this file link deleted
I have successfully imported it into my Garmin but was hoping to create a file which would inport into Mapsource so I can start planning routes etc.

I followed the instructions above but each time I do so I get an error and mapsource will not open. I am clearly doing something wrong but do not have sufficient knowledge to understand how to put it right

I don't want to waste anyones time. All I want to do is find a way of creating the map I have downloaded into mapsource.

Thanks for your comment :)

Tony

Edit : Ok, I see the link is not showing up. Does this help?

Hi antyong

This program works fine.

Maybe in your "How to use" instructions, it should include an additional step to change the IMG file name to a 8-digit numeric file name so that it will conform to the naming convention.

What's the difference between this and the M3 ?

Happy new year to all in MFM

Cheers

I am currently making a map and using this tool to register it in Mapsource.
Naturally I am continually making changes to the map and wanting to load up the freshest version. The map will always have the same mapset name.
What is the best way to get the most up to date map in mapsource using this tool? Should I be Uninstalling the previous version using M3 and then recreating the new version? Or is there some way to save the new map over the old one without having to make all those changes to the registry.

Thanks

The only way at the moment is to uninstall and recreate the new mapset.
