I think all .gpi (WAV, MP3 or GMXT version) are compatible with GMXT.
GMXT user can use it without waiting for GMXT version, but you cannot hear any announcement or special sound embedded on that .gpi.
There are nothing special about GMXT version, it only contains custom POI & there are still no sound.

Please correct me if I'm wrong.

Yes, you are correct. In GMXT, you only hear the beep sound and not the WAV or MP3 audio. Hope this helps...

thanks... the reason is because i want a single tone warning on the garmin..

the wav sound makes it pain to the ears..

Currently I use CPOI v2.08 as basic for all CPOI.
MFM-Speed Traps(WAV) & MFM-Pasar Tani should be replaced to avoid double warning. How about MFM-Accident Areas and MFM-Sharp Bends?
They exist in both version.

Yes correct, you must remove MFM-Accident Areas & MFM-Sharp Bends or backup (in case you need it back).

Sorry for asking so many questions. I see there are no ALH-EW Highway Danger Area .gpi (20101219) in CPOI 20101226. It is included in ALH-Danger Area.gpi (CPOI 20101226)? Or do they should be co-exist?

No problem Bro, You can ask anything, yes, data in ALH-EW Highway Danger were moved to ALH-Danger Area, so you need to install ALH-Danger Area only.

Bro alharis...agak2 bleh tak tukar bunyi pada speed trap punya alert..cth bagi bunyi siren polis ( mcm mysolah )..sekadar cadangan.TQ :good:
