is there any software so i am able to convert the file back to *.gdb format.

You can use GPSbabel to convert GPI to GDB.

is there anymore updates to night market POIs?
seems it does not consists of all night markets known in whole Malaysia?
in my CPOI v 2.07, it shows till NILAI night markets only

Try searching with more keywords, ie. day of operation, taman name, etc. This is because cPOI search (similar to POI search) is radius based, so when the list gets too long, it will stop searching, only when you narrow down the search you'll be able to search further.

If you have installed the compiled custom poi installer, most of the custom pois are already included, but since the compilation is done periodically, sometimes it's more updated at the individual topics. So to update them, remove the GPI from device and replace GPI from the said topics.

with regards to the newer night market POI, it seems it is a much smaller file compared the one that come with v2.07 was 89kb and new one was only 27kb. is this 'normal'

The one installed with cPOI v2.07 is the same v2.08 available at the first post, and they share similar file size too.
