Hello and good day to all.
i have created POI file for MARTS, ASTRA, MARES and other repeaters around peninsular Malaysia

p/s: compatible to any version of Garmin Mobile XT, else ? i dont really know because i dont have any other Garmin's devices.

30 June 2011: this morning i work with 9W2ZSH on 9M4RKL, he told me that my POI is not updated. So i remake this POI from scratch. i was never told by anybody besides him. if you got any comments or suggestions please email at 9m2pju@hamradio.my

i need information about all repeaters around Malaysia.

I can't open the gpi file.
Did you also list down the Repeater Frequencies?

I can't open the gpi file.
Did you also list down the Repeater Frequencies?


you need to copy it into your garmin folder.
example: x:\Garmin\POI\Marts_repeaters_9w2pju.gpi

there is no problem to anyone if they already know how to handle POI file.
Yes, i also wrote the linked, frequencies, offset and tone.
you can see either the repeater is linked or not.

Im using gpsbabel to convert to gdb file.
Just want to see the location for thi POIs.
Not yet use in my device.
Later will try.

Tested the GPI file and it's working fine, and it's got the frequencies listed too.

Hi Piju, you might want to use POI Loader with Manual mode (rather than Express mode) as any numerical line in GPX name may mislead POI Loader into assuming it contains speed limit data, as in your case, the number 9 resulted in a 9kmh speed limit info on all POIs.

thanks for the info.
i have updated this POI and removed the 9kmh limits.
