Bro stratman, pls check what went wrong at this location?

Hi bro Tuah,

I need more details from you on this issue:

a) Were you actually driving towards this POI when your GMXT crashed or did you just perform a simulated navigation towards this POI?

b) State the direction and route you were on when it happened.

c) Does your unit crash every time you approach this POI or was it a one-off thing?

d) Does any other custom POI which I've posted cause your GMXT to crash?

e) Your exact GMXT model.

For the record, my POIs were done for the Nuvi series. They were never tested on a GMXT device because I don't have one. #-o

I need to determine whether this anomaly is unique to your device or other GMXT users are affected as well. \:D/

:tq:

Hi,

Are you using a Garmin MXT software for your GPS or a proprietary GPS program in your Samsung Omnia? If it's a GMXT software it might work on your phone. :-k

a) Were you actually driving towards this POI when your GMXT crashed or did you just perform a simulated navigation towards this POI?
Yes, I was driving towards it.

b) State the direction and route you were on when it happened.
As per attachment and shown in the previous thread

c) Does your unit crash every time you approach this POI or was it a one-off thing?
Everytime approching this location, but other location it's ok with the "bong, bong" sound :)

d) Does any other custom POI which I've posted cause your GMXT to crash?
So far only this location only

e) Your exact GMXT model.
Garmin Mobile XT for Windows Mobile, Ver. 5.00.20w on Asus P535

For the record, my POIs were done for the Nuvi series. They were never tested on a GMXT device because I don't have one. #-o
I can understand that. Only if you can fix it, otherwise it OK with me

I need to determine whether this anomaly is unique to your device or other GMXT users are affected as well. \:D/
I hope other members can give a feedback also

Bro Stratman,

My feedback : The volume of the voice announcement for wav files (i'm using nuvi 200) is too low compared to the standard/original voice announcement for navigation of the garmin.

The same thing happened for the voice announcement when approaching rest area along the highways

Thanks

OK, I'll note your comments for my next release. It works fine with my Nuvi 310. The Nuvi 200W, IMO has a rather loud volume at max volume settings compared to the 310.

From my experience, POI alerts tend to become annoying after some time if they're as loud as the turn prompt announcements. Trust me on this. 8-)

That's what I thought too. Bro ARB from this forum told me that my earliest RSA POI alerts were too loud and he owns a Nuvi 760. From then on I left the voice clips as they are (no modifications). Looks like the 200-series' built-in audio amp appears to be on steroids. :ko:
cheers,
