does this means that the postal code search will now work in all custom version? and not just the east gear version???

:D
If it is like this, then it would be great...been waiting for this for my custom version for a long long time....:D

Works on Eastgear's X3 and latest M3GPS X5.

My unit (papago R5800) is having problem locking on the satellite signal. When I click on the system status screen, all I saw was just 1 signal bar (number 12). I left my unit in my home balcony and after half day, I still failed to get the signal.
Anyone here know what is wrong with my unit? Hardware problem?
Please help.. thanks

Same problem happened to me right now.. i couldn't run my papago x3.. the device just cannot locate coordinate...

i've been told that's about the COM problem.. need help.. ](*,)

Can you please delete the sys.cfg under \Navi\Save, as each change of system files create new elements
there as well. Hence some eratics behaviour sometime comes from that configuration files.

Another area is those gpspara0.bin gpspara1.bin gpspara2.bin gpspara3.bin.. These files are temporary files
for the last gps coordinates/postions.. Delete them all, and restart the R5800.
It is okay to delete, as system will recreate these files on the next search of Satelites.

Hope this helps

thanks for the clarification...i think this is extremely important piece of information..
but sb17, i hope all m3gps staff can be properly informed bout itno offence)....cause some still advise to retain the gpspara files..
and apart from sys.cfg, what bout the ~sys.cfg?
tq

Mozais81,
If you still having problem getting the satellite signal, I suggest you bring your unit to M3Asia in Phileo Damansara II.
As for my case, it turns out to be a permanent hardware failure. I brought my unit to M3Asia 2 days ago and after some half a day troubleshooting the device, M3 decided to replace a brand NEW unit to me. They tried all sort of stuff to my unit i.e. flashing, formatting & reinstall winCE 6.0 but all to no avail!
The best part about this is they give me the new unit right away. I don't have to wait for several days or weeks. This is what I call professionalism. Good Job M3Asia!
