Does anybody know what are these brown stripes stand for in the vicinity of N01.403400 E103.60300 in MFM120903?

Those are the golf trails.

but I dun thin' so. Golf trails are not straight lines. I was there.

sobamy, but golfers do not carry Garmin Nuvi on the fairway, do they?

I think the map from "next door" (as shown below) looks cleaner without those stripes.

Often on golf course maps, straight lines depict the path of each hole, from the tee box to the green. Sometimes the fairway is not a straight line, so the resulting line is two straight lines at an angle like an L or a V.

An example on the internet of a golf course map with these lines:

Nobody in their right mind is going use a polyline to faithfully illustrate each bend of the fairway. If you want a faithful reproduction of the course contours, then draw with polygons (e.g. N5.52749 E100.44309) not polylines.

but golfers do not carry Garmin Nuvi on the fairway, do they?

Who said all MFM Garmin users are Nuvi users?

Personally, for accuracy I will use Malfree weekly map in MY and JeromeWee's donor map in SG.
Have yet to use the 09-09-2012 map. Could be the best
