you can opt not to enable "large Poi Icon". this way, you can generate your map without the large poi icon. whether users find it suitable or not, it's really up to personal preference, hence mfm has put it as an optional feature.

however, i do find the large poi icons option suitable and appropriate for nuvi 1460 (my dad's unit) while it although it seemed "cluttered" for my nuvi 255W, the large poi icons do make checking my location on the 255W display easier "at a glance".

i guess to each its own and kudos to mfm for thinking of this ahead and providing large poi icon as optional feature.

yeap, u are right about this.
to each individual as its an additional feature
pic for comparison

Normal Icon

in fact allow me to suggest this, if can come out with a option where the icon can be in between the 2 sizes will be nice cos large icon suits maybe 5" display and XT, something in between can suit those 3" or 4.3" display

2. My Garmin device cannot read MFM map. What is the problem?

Hi, referring to the question and answer above, I am using 60CSx, does it mean that for me the latest map I can get from Malfree is v1.62?

So all the latest map in Malfree I could not use for my 60CSx. Is there any way round this? cos I am planning for a Sin - Thai trip end of next week and the latest map is very helpful with Sin, Msia and Thai maps all in one.

Help please. Thanks.

Ok I will go and try again. Previously I was using v.100315, what I have is that on my 60CSx it shows the map with the building but no roads or lanes. Any idea what might have happen?

I have just download the latest map and install on my mapsource. On the mapsource it looks ok.

But when I transfer the date to my 60CSx, it only shows the building or house but no road.

Is there something I can do?
