Able to find Tasty Pot if I am very near under "Food & Drink"

gr2k wrote:On GMXT (Windows Mobile), "Tasty Pot" (Sunway Mentari) cannot be found...same problem as the "Murni" problem in the earlier versions before it was fixed.

I can confirm this issue affects GMXT (in my case WM platform, not sure about others). But the strange thing is, it's searchable if only "BBQ" is keyed in, but not "Tasty", "Pot", "Steamboat" or any correct combined phrases or even the full name of the POI (Tasty Pot BBQ Steamboat).

Also, it makes no difference whether GMAPSUPP.IMG is installer generated or Mapsource transfered. No problems searching the POI using Nuvi710 though.

Yeah yeah; i can confirm on the [Tasty Pot] as well. So one of 2 things
1) either the POI is not labeled in a truly standard/generic format for Garmin Map POI's
2) There's a bug inside GMXT that needs to be addressed.

Surprisingly; the last patch for WinMo was about a year ago; exception of Symbian S60. So wonder when they'll patch the software again? Ver 6 maybe? :)

Using GPSMapEdit 1.0.60.0, it could not open the IMG file generated by MFM 20091109. It has this message

After installing the img file, under Tools -> Settings -> Map -> Map Info , I see two items :

1. MFM-Garmin 091109
2. MFM Poi 091109

Need advice :
(a) Is it two separate Maps ?
(b) Should I select only one OR select both ?
(c) Please explain to newbie here on the difference/purpose of the TWO map listed in my Garmin.

Thanks in advance.

Try doing a search under 'Features' using Mapsource starting with alphabet X, Y or Z. You will find that it does not work. I highlighted this several versions ago and it is still not fixed. Or is it due to my copy of Mapsource? :-?

Any of the mappers can confirm?
Regards

Johnny

Same problem with mine and I am on 6.13.7.

Hitting the X, Y or Z key in "name" dialog box of Mapsource Find Places, Features will result in a bunch of data as illustrated in picture.

Works fine with other Map at other "site".
