Just a thought, by right, when we do updates, we shouldn't be downloading the whole *.img, we just need the updated parts of it.

examples, say, for the whole week, this 60308888.img got no changes at all, then this 60308888.img should be excluded from the "update".
or
if there's only a very minor/small changes to this 60308888.img, then won't it be easier to download the "changes" only in order to make this 60308888.img an updated one?

At the download section, we'll have the Core program MFM at 65MB
every week, download an update(changes only) maybe the size of 5MB ?
Or even a change log, so user can decide if the download is necessary.

Becos for me, I don't drive out of sg, and I generate the gmapsupp.img (abt 10MB) using Mapsource with Singapore Map Data only.
It is a very good idea to download & update the img you needed only, but by this method, you are not able to search all the address in the img.

Change log? Mappers are busy with the map updating & need to take care of the rice bowl at the same time, how to keep track on the change log? Perhaps you want to assist on the change log compiling?

The img with changes will be placed together with the Core-program, thus making the updates same as what we normally download from MFM, then generate that gmapsupp.img, there isn't any missing steps, why would this method not able to search all the address in the img?

These updates will include, Map layout, POI, Postal Code, Street Address, Solution to bug from different Area (Singapore, west part of Sarawak, east part of Sabah, Borneo....)
what I mean by change log is, to allow user to know if there's changes to their usage needs. Like, if there's no changes in Singapore map, then those using Singapore only do not need to download for that update.
I don't mean a change log as in what exactly had been changed, like, blk 123 Ang Mo Kio add to the address, kinda stuff, thats not useful and too much effort.
As always, :rox:

hello bro,

First make sure you got satelite lock ..if your destination is Taman Rakyat (point B) where is your current location? (point A)..get satellite lock first :-k .or in simulation mode, u must set location in point B (current location) and select your destination to point B (Taman Rakyat) see how?

The POI (Taman Rakyat Klang) is located too far from the road/entrance, since you know the place, please relocate the POI nearer to the road / entrance and post report here...
viewtopic.php?f=8&t=5861&start=0

when a compound is large, always put the POI next to the entrance, otherwise it will unable to calculate and route.

o.8 km is a straight poi to poi distance when it can't be calculate exp as below...

This is direct bearing distance, not calculated thru road

Hi,

CPOI is different from MFM POIs.

CPOI is outside the map, MFM POIs is inside the map.

CPOI will give u alerts. Install and see the effect :)
