Bro liowkhc, I will not recommend you try to have the Treo 750 run GPS. The Treo 750 is a good PDA but its memory management is very sensitive and tends to crash easily with multiple applications which fills its limited RAM capacity. I gave up running Que due to this problem and dedicated my Treo unit to its PDA function only.

FYI our current map is not compatible with que. You will need an early version of MFM to do it.

Silverbeauty - my brother had the Garmin que map before but he wiped the PDA before giving to me - is there one location where I can obtain one?

MFM-Garmin 091102 come with MFM Poi 091102.
its that same with MFM-CPOI v2.05? we still need to install MFM-CPOI v2.05?

No, different. cPOIs are Garmin Custom POIs.

Yes, if you wish to add additional POIs.

Allow me to explain and I stand corrected by the more knowledged.

CUSTOM POI

The MFM Poi 091102 is a set of Custom POIs that are embedded in the map. These are the standard Custom POIs that Garmin has built into their application and the POI data will be delivered embedded in the Garmin maps. Garmin has categorised them and the categories can be found when you go to "Where To", "Point Of Interest", namely:

- Food Drinks
- Lodging
- Fuel
- Attraction
- Recreation
- Entertainment
- Shopping
- Auto Services
- Transportation
- Community
- Bank/ATM
- Hospital
- etc

The above category may vary with Garmin Models. There are pre-built search categories in the Garmin application. To search for them goto here To", "Point Of Interest", then select the appropriate category. There may be sub-categories.

When generating the map, the POI data will be installed into the map. You cant control what you want and what categories you dont want.

EXTRA CUSTOM POI

The POI Sets in MFM-CPOI v2.05, is a set of additional or Extra Custom POIs over and above the ones mentioned above. They are not part of the map. This is a special feature of Garmin (currently not Papago) where you can put in your own POIs over and above the map without having to regenerate the maps. These POIs can be created personally or via a community or obtained from others. To find them on your device you will have to goto "Where To", "Extra". In the case of MFM, from a compilation of the various inputs of the community, MFM distributes the following 9 categories of Extra Custom POIs:

- Nigh Market
- Railway Crossing
- Redlight Crossing
- Road Junctions
- Rest-Stop Area
- School Zones
- Sharp Bends
- Speed Traps
- Toll Plaza

You can compile your own set of extra POI and put it in your device and/or distribute it to others. Over and above the above MFM Extra POI, I have other POIs' that I got elsewhere like WiFi points, Bus lanes, ERP Gantry Points, Nasi Lemak stalls, etc. I also have Mosque Location in Malaysia distributed by Bro karkeys (Thank You Bro). It is up to you what you want to put in. You can remove or not install them all if you so wish.

There are no pre-built search categories for these POIs. You will have to use "Where To", "Extra", to do the search.

The Extra Custom POIs are separate and independent from the map & Custom POIs. When you update one it does not disturb the other.

I hope my explanation helps.

The above is actually MFM custom icons for Garmin POIs. To explain further, without the custom icons, a POI would not be displaying custom icons like Shell logo, for example. A Garmin Custom POI on the other hand, is never meant to be built-in into Garmin map, so there are only Garmin POIs, those which are included in the map and Garmin Custom POIs (extra POIs) which can be added in by user.

Thank you for the additional clarification. With your explanation, I did realize that there are actually 2 sets of POIs that come with the map. One is the Garmin standard POIs and MFM Custom POIs with Custom POI Icons. (question, does Papago has this?).

I think the real confusion come from the fact that the Custom POIs and the Extra Custom POIs are both being referred to as Custom POIs. I too in the early stages, was confused.
