My Nuvi 205 went dead after installing the latest mfm map & mfm keyboard. can't power up. not sure if it is related to the new files. anyone with similar problems?

Me got no prob with it. S 2 ur nuvi can't power up, Im not sure how 2 help u on dis. Mayb some1 or d sifus will ans 2 ur que soon.

The file is hosted at http://www.filesavr.com , do try and see if you can access that page . if you cant .. perhaps the isp has blocked it. so far from celcom 3g, streamyx , digi 3g and jaring dsl im able to access and download it.

phew... got it sorted. found the soft reset method online.

"Press down on bottom right corner of the touchscreen, and then power on the GPS unit."

removed the microsd card before soft reset the nuvi. reinstalled the map on the microsd & the nuvi worked again. must have been the corrupted file installed earlier.

On GMXT (Windows Mobile), "Tasty Pot" (Sunway Mentari) cannot be found...same problem as the "Murni" problem in the earlier versions before it was fixed.

There is nothing wrong with the map file.
MapSource is sending gmapsupp.img file to the GPS device. Try using data cable.

The search feature in mapsource is unable to search. It gives you something other than what you search for!

need to verify with previous released map after found last week release cannot find Tasty Pot (steam boat shop at Mentari busisness Subang).

But I still cannot find Tasty Pot at Both POI & "Food & Drink"
Able to find Tasty Pot if I am very near under "Food & Drink"

I can confirm this issue affects GMXT (in my case WM platform, not sure about others). But the strange thing is, it's searchable if only "BBQ" is keyed in, but not "Tasty", "Pot", "Steamboat" or any correct combined phrases or even the full name of the POI (Tasty Pot BBQ Steamboat).

Also, it makes no difference whether GMAPSUPP.IMG is installer generated or Mapsource transfered. No problems searching the POI using Nuvi710 though.

Mayb try 2 reinstall again bro.
