There is a consistent Garmin MXT crash when going through this particular area on the Jelutong Expressway. I first noticed it with maps with datecode 090914, 090928a and presumably the current version 1st Oct month release, and so on. The crash only occurs if you are South Bound. Going North Bound produces no crash, consistently.

I did make a lite version with 090914 and it crashed more often at various other places. With 090914 map (full and lite), the error reads, "Read Access Violation at data address 0xF5C239F0. Program address 0x001714B4 in background thread NULL (GfxFieldWindowProc)".

With 090928 (full customization), I get the same crash with the same error but with different data address. "Read Access Violation at data address 0x05B4AF40. Program address 0x001714B4 in background thread NULL (GfxFieldWindowProc)"

This particular crash on the JE occurs around this coordinate N5 23.222 E100 19.086. The only thing that is connecting this main highway is a merging road entering the highway. There is something that is triggering this error. MAYBE it is the U-Turn code that is triggering this crash. I had similar Garmin MXT crash at Tesco Penang while doing a U-Turn.

Can someone that travels this JE confirm? Mappers, could it be some programming with the U-turn here?

Forgot to add that I am using:-

Garmin MXT for Windows Mobile 5.00.20w on a HTC Diamond 2. I've got lots of free RAM, 4GB Class 6 SDCard.

Perhaps there are certain settings in MXT that is causing the crash, and I am thinking of doing 2 things to the settings. One is Avoidance Setup, to tick the U-Turn (avoid U-turns) which is currently un-ticked. The 2nd thing is to set to "Show Location" at "On Roads", as I am now set at "At GPS Location".

Will report back with these 2 parameters.
