You need to purchase the original software from Garmin website and reinstall it once you purchase the software.

Cheers!

Bro Gospider, if you'd prefer to purchase it online or request a trial license, you need to setup web/data connection in your phone first.

i am trying to copy the mfm map over to my new nuvi. i have run the map following the step by step guide as provided by brofancheng;.only thing is its not happening. when i tried to copy over to NUVi using the USB cable, nothing happened.there is no additional F drive appear in Mycomputer or any instruction for me to select drive as mentioned in the guide. is the device suppose to automatically appear on the screen? could it be the usb cable faulty. is it safer to get SD card instead?

thanks for any help i can get.

When you connect Nuvi to PC, Nuvi should turn on in USB Mass Storage mode. If Nuvi stays off when you connect it to PC, there must be something wrong with the connection, either it's loose or the cable is not compatible/faulty.

If you have an SD card, you can just use a card reader to copy the file.

Fren of mine bought Dauf AUF-4302 recently (wz regrets) at past COMEX. Can he change to our MFM mapping platform. Of course, will reload all neccessary software in compatible for usage. Can it be done?? :frus:

Since it's a WinCE device, it's technically possible to install the appropriate software (and be able to use MFM map). However, at the moment there is no legitimate navigation software that I can recommend (or should be discussed here).

Mapsource is not necessary. Not sure why it did not transfer to device, but I myself always opted for no, and just manually copy and paste saved GMAPSUPP.IMG (from C:\Garmin\Malfreemaps, if default drive/folder is used when installing) to \Garmin folder of Nuvi. If there is currently the same file in Nuvi, (do not replace) back it up first.
