9. if install properly, the installation will finish and the window will close and follow by a new window that will then ask you if you want to create a gmapsupp.img. normally, i will click "NO" since I am using mapsource.

Sorry I don't have a papago so I don't know what is the difference. I am using GMXT and GMPC. But I don't think there is a difference as the guide is to install the MFM maps for use with Mapsource. Maybe someone who is more familiar with Mapsource and papago can help you on this.

Like I said, it is just a basic guide and assume you don't have any problems. As for myself I just started using GPS only sometime in August this year and is still learning so my knowledge can be classified as beginer. This guide is my 1st attempt at contribution here to help others (other than posting POIs, etc)

I just had a look at the MFM-papago map download forum. the maps are different. Also I don't think you can use papago maps for Mapsource as it is basically for GARMIN (GARMIN MAPSOURCE). Different engine, different supplier, etc. same car but one use ron95, the other use diesel....

Just ignore that part and proceed with sending maps to device.

Can't get MapSource to install on Windows 7 64bit. Not sure if it's in issue with the reg file. Trying modifying the reg file to use Program Files (x86) (typical installation path for x86 legacy 32-bit programmes) but I'm still unable to install Mapsource. Anyone here successfull with Win7 64?

The mfm map releases for Garmin and Papago are different, yet very similar. I have often used MapSource to plan routes and manage my POIs for the Papago. You can see how this is done at How to Manage Papago POIs with MapSource (23/8/2009) by bro 76gpsguy.
