Dear Sifus,

I have read and followed the instructions to update map in my Garmin Nuvi 1460 but the device does not recognize the gmapsupp.img created.

Here is what I did:
1. Downloaded and installed MFM-Garmin-101108.exe
2. Generated the gmapsupp.img file into "F:". The file was successfully created.

But in my 1460 device, the pre-installed img files are located in "F:\.System" folder. I noticed there is no file with name gmapsupp.img. What I have in the "F:\.System" folder are the following img files:
1. gmapbmap.img (~50MB)
2. gmapprom.img (~35MB)
3. gmapprom1.img (~22MB)

So I manually copied the gmapsupp.img into the "F:\.System" folder but the device still does not recognize the new map. I even backed up the existing img file and renamed the gmapsupp.img to gmapbmap.img but it still does not work.

Note: After each action, I re-start the device but still no success.

The existing map info on my 1460 are:
1. Malsingmaps Malaysia/Singapore/Brunei NT 2009.30
2. City Navigator Singapore/Malaysia NT 2009.30

Can someone help me here? Thanks a lot!

Cheers,
Sathis
