Mapsource Problem

I previously has MSM installed on my Garmin.

Now, after installing MFM, I cannot launch Mapsource. It says please "reinstall MSM-MySin and try again".

I have tried reinstalling Mapsource but with no luck.

Does anyone know a solution?

You need to delete everything and reinstall again.

You need to delete everything and reinstall again.



Besides deleting / uninstall Mapsource, make sure that Windows registry is cleared of all remains of mapsource else reinstall is useless as problem will remain.

Hi, I'm new here. When I click on to get the Garmin mapsource. It shows only the update and that a working mapsource is needed for the update to work. How do it get mapsource then? It was stated there that I have to buy the mapsource or i shud get it when i bought my unit. But i didn't. Please help...

Hi, mind teaching me? I tried the method but after clicking the .reg file... only a text file came up.

Right-click REG file, and select "Merge". This will import REG file into Windows Registry.

Right-click REG file, and select "Merge". This will import REG file into Windows Registry.


Don't really understand. There isn't merge function after right click...

Do you mean typing regedit and then import the txt file? Is that save? Because i saw a regedit4 written in the txt
