MFM-Garmin Map (cGPSmapper) Installation Step-by-Step Guide

Hi I'm able to open mapsource. How do i load the MFM map using mapsource?
cause when i click file > open, i cant select the MFM maps i downloaded.

After you've downloaded the (latest) map from here (viewtopic.php?f=46&t=8442), just click the exe file to install on the PC. Instructions are provided on the first post of this thread. When you then run Mapsource, the mfm map will be displayed.

I follow the guide and have some question need to seek advise.
I have both MFM 2012.10 and MFM weekly maps installed in my 765 GPS.

I used the self generate program and mapsource to create the MFM gmapsupp.img weekly map and both does not have the HDB polygon display on my gps.
But 2012.10 map was nicely display with the polygon.

Did I miss out any steps?

I have the same problem here. I have been trying for weeks and I noticed that the weekly MFM after 02/01/2012 was the last that we can set to be able to see the details. I understand it was fixed last year and it started having this problem since then

I installed the lastest map, 120430, result the same.
Nobody no the root cause?

Known issue. One is compiled using third party compilor vs one using Garmin compilor.

Any chance it can be resolved ? Size limits during compiling? Really, really, really hoping the team can fix the problem.

could it due to some error on the check box "Enable Custom Icon Display for Nuvi 765, 1460, etc"?
When I install the map to my friend 255 model, this box was disabled and the Polygon and Road name are able to display on the Garmin unit?

I have tried that and all the combinations, it didn't work. Maybe it is just Nuvi 765. Will see if someone can help out. I have also tried using Mapsource to limit the number of maps and trying to reduce the size of .img file, still no good

I downloaded the maps to 40LM using the MFM Garmin Map Generator route. The gmapsupp.img was saved in the device Garmin directory. However, the default map remains US map (Garmin Nuvi bought from US) Did I miss something ? The original device does not have gmapsupp.img.

I then tried the the mapsource route and I cannot view the map in map source. By the way, I did not create gmapsupp.img when I followed the mapsourse option as I clicked "No" when was asked if I would like to create gmapsupp.img

I installed on my desktop and it works perfectly fine. I think there is a problem with my laptop.

1)"Malsingmaps Malaysia/Singapore/Brunei NT2012.10" map normally store in which folder?
2)I installed the MFM map,installed and copy to F:Garmin,after that i turned on the 3790V,i can see only the buildings and POI but no streets no roads,how come?I tried reinstall and tick and untick several times for those map option and map customisation option...
3)When I only select Map NT2012.10,everything fine!

Pls help me...

For 3790, if it still do not display roads, go to MainMenu-Tools-Settings-myMaps- and unselect Apac ADEM file
