You need to select map tiles via map tool before that feature gets enabled.

bro silver, I oso has the problem, even if select maptiles via maptools, the "include route calculation data" tick box is grey out. unable to select it. According to poster on first page Guideline information, we must tick it for routable map.

Please help. I need transfer navigasi+MFM into my Nuvi.
:tq:

Hi James Lee, you can safely ignore that particular step if the option is greyed out even after selecting maps with Map Tool.

Hi everyone, if I'm using Nuvi205w, for installation, do I select Full customisation or custom polygons and pois? Which one is easier/advisable to use? thanks

Bro Muurali,

The selections are clearly showed in the menu.

Full Customization is when you intend to read and manage the map using the software MapSource.

Whilst Custom Polygons & POIs is for direct uploading into your Garmin Nuvi, Street Pilot and Mobile XT devices.

Since you ask such a question, I can only deduce that you dont have MapSource installed and you are unaware of the use of MapSource. As such I recommend that you select Custom Polygons & POI. It is the fastest and easiest way for you to create the map a copy or transfer it directly into the device.

If you already have Mapsource installed in you PC, all you have to do to upgrade is to go to Garmin Website and download the upgrade. Run the .exe file and follow instructions. The upgrade will over-ride the existing old version

If you do not have Mapsource installed in your PC, you CANNOT download the upgrade file from Garmin website. Follow instructions below :
How to Install MapSource : viewtopic.php?f=28&t=735

If you have an existing version Mapsource installed in your PC and it is screwed up, you need to uninistall it via Windows Add/Remove program. After this you will need to clean the registry as the Add/Remove will not do it.

If you are familiar with computer and will not mess up the windows registry contents, you can edit the windows registry and remove the following directory

Garmin entries in registry

Windows Vista
HKEY_CURRENT_USER...SOFTWARE...GARMIN
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE...SOFTWARE...Wow6432Node...GARMIN

Windows XP
HKEY_CURRENT_USER...SOFTWARE...GARMIN
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE...SOFTWARE...GARMIN

If you are not familar with computer and fear "bricking" it, get a good windows registry cleaner utility like "Windows Installer CleanUp Utility" at http://support.microsoft.com/kb/290301
